urban and regional planning

While moonlighting as an employee of a government agency (hehe), I intend to be a student of the school of urban and regional planning. I'm posting the admission details of the school to assess if I am qualified or not. I am for urban and regional planning; urban and regional planning is for me hehehe...Back in the undergrad, i had cursory studies on development plans, particularly in CALABARZON. Such studies entailed knowledge on analysis of development plan, land use plan and maps accompanying the plan. I have high regards on the comprehensive land use plan, as this is the ultimate graphical representation of the development policies that will be implemented in the area for at least 5years (excluding the politics underneath the plan?). I also had straits in accessing the comp land use plans - it was difficult to hurdle the bureaucracy owning that plan.
Our petty studies on development plans, issues on land use conversion (e.g., Metro Taal Tagaytay Development Plan) lacked discussion on technical aspects of the development plan since we lacked the technical facility to discuss these matters. We can never discuss the issue with the technocrats, it was a mere academic mediocrity hehe. Hmm, I would probably integrate urban and regional development in Development Studies program, adding to its multifaceted character and acknowledging that urban and regional development is a socio-economic realm that needs to be understand among students of development. That is, if I obtained the degree and subsequently pursue my professorial endeavor. I want to raise my knowledge on development planning and I am really interested with the course (period).

I've decided to unload my mobile inbox and thus this will serve as a repository of some of the forwarded quotes I deem to be of worth. I hesitate to delete these though I presume that they're not personally intended for me, I simply belong to the senders' VIP group (recipient via their unlimited txt grants hehe)

In the middle of perplexities and despair, always remember what a determined person will tell you:
"If it can't be, it has to be"

So many thing cry out to be done and always urgently... Ten thousand years are too long. Seize the day, seize the hour

because love is an act of courage, not of fear; love is commitment to other men. No matter were the oppresed are, the act of love is commiment to to their cause - of liberation. As act of bravery, love is can't be sentimental; as act of freedom, it must serve as pretext to manipulation, it must generate other acts of freedom; otherwise, it's not love. Only by abolishing the situation of oppression is it possible to restore the love which that situation made impossible

Do not be like someone of our countrymen who are wise and able but have no courage to fight our masters and oppressors. They are timid and would like always to retreat.

The conventional interpretation of the median voter theorem maintains that if the underlying assumption is true, one would expect initial inequality to affect growth in democratic, but not in undemocratic countries
Gets? Hahaha
